Module Feature

VIPA is a German industrial automation brand, now part of Yaskawa group, famous for SPEED7 high-speed control technology. Its controllers are compatible with Siemens S7 program, support STEP7 and TIA Portal programming, cycle time much faster than standard S7 CPU. Main product lines: 100V compact PLC, 200V modular PLC, 300S high-performance CPU, SLIO decentralized I/O system, MICRO small PLC, HMI touch panels and communication modules. Communication protocols cover PROFINET, PROFIBUS-DP, Modbus TCP, CANopen, EtherCAT. It is commonly used as replacement spare for legacy S7 control cabinets, machine tool, packaging line, material handling and water treatment automation.

Working principle

VIPA CPU executes user control program via SPEED7 core, collects digital/analog signals from local and SLIO remote I/O. It exchanges data with HMI, drives and upper SCADA through industrial fieldbus. The SPEED-Bus high-speed backplane bus realizes fast data exchange between CPU and extension modules, supporting real-time motion and interlock logic.
