Products Description
Wabco 973-0-01-0180 Trailer Pneumatic Control Valve Unit

Module Feature
973-0-01-0180 is a pneumatic trailer control valve manufactured by Wabco. It is a core component of trailer compressed air brake system, distributes air pressure signal from tractor side to trailer brake chambers. It realizes service brake proportional control and emergency brake trigger when supply air loss occurs. Built-in pressure protection and anti-surge structure, compatible with ABS trailer brake system. Widely stocked as spare for heavy truck, semi-trailer and commercial vehicle brake repair.
Working principle
Control air signal from tractor brake valve enters the control port of this valve. Internal piston and spool assembly convert control signal pressure into proportional output pressure for trailer brake actuators. If main supply air line breaks or leaks, internal spring mechanism triggers emergency brake automatically to stop trailer. Pressure check valve maintains residual pressure for safe standby.
Onboard components
Pneumatic spool valve assembly, pressure sensing piston, emergency spring, check valve, sealing diaphragm, multiple air ports and cast aluminium valve body.
LED indicators
No built-in LED indicator.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Function judged by air pressure test, no electronic self-check. Brake response pressure can be verified by pressure gauge.
Programming software
Not applicable, pure pneumatic mechanical valve, no configuration software required.
