Module Feature

BFR5K150SK2PTS16 is a complete pneumatic ball valve assembly.

The assembly consists of floating ball valve body, double-acting pneumatic actuator and PTS16 position feedback switch box. Nominal size DN150, flange connection. Ball and internal wetted parts are stainless steel, PTFE soft seat for bubble-tight shutoff. PTS16 switch box provides SPDT dry contact open/close status signal to PLC/DCS. It can be fitted with solenoid valve, air filter regulator as accessory. Suitable for on-off control of non-corrosive liquid, compressed air and natural gas. Widely stocked as spare for chemical, water treatment and oil skid.

Working principle

Compressed air enters two air chambers of double acting actuator alternately.

Air pressure drives rack and pinion structure to rotate valve stem and ball core 90°, completing open or close action. PTS16 mechanical cam triggers internal microswitches when valve reaches fully open / fully closed stroke, transmitting position feedback signal to control system. PTFE seat provides sealing between ball and valve body.

Onboard components

Flanged valve body, stainless steel floating ball, PTFE seat, double acting pneumatic actuator, rack-pinion transmission, PTS16 limit switch box, cam adjustment mechanism, air port thread, stem packing and fasteners.

LED indicators

Status LED integrated inside PTS16 switch box for open/close indication.

Installation

Depressurize pipeline and cut off instrument air before replacement.

Align flange gasket, tighten flange bolts evenly, connect instrument air supply and switch feedback wiring, adjust PTS16 cam to match open/close stroke, test valve action and feedback signal after commissioning.

Interface

PN16 flange process ends, G thread air supply ports, limit switch electrical terminals.

Diagnostic

No valve action: Air supply loss, actuator piston seal leak, ball seized. Feedback signal wrong: Cam misadjusted, switch damaged. External leakage: Stem packing aging, flange gasket failure.
