Products Description
Meggitt 144-168-000-501 Vibration Accelerometer Unit

Module Feature
144-168-000-501 is a hermetically sealed piezoelectric accelerometer from Meggitt Vibro-Meter series.
It is engineered for vibration measurement on gas turbines and other high-temperature rotating equipment. The stainless steel sealed housing withstands extreme thermal environments. It outputs charge signal proportional to vibration acceleration and requires matching charge amplifier or monitoring module. Widely stocked as spare part for power generation and petrochemical machinery condition monitoring cabinet.
Working principle
The built-in piezoelectric crystal generates charge when subjected to vibration acceleration.
The charge signal is transmitted through low-noise shielded cable to signal conditioning unit. The monitoring system converts charge signal into vibration value, for real-time trend tracking, alarm triggering and fault diagnosis of turbomachinery.
Onboard components
Piezoelectric sensing crystal, insulating internal structure, hermetically sealed stainless steel housing, high-temperature connector and shielding assembly.
LED indicators
No built-in LED indicator.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Check cable insulation, connector tightness and signal integrity by vibration monitoring host. No local adjustment function.
Programming software
Not applicable, charge output transducer, configured via matched machinery monitoring software.
