Module Feature

MJA36600 is a 3-pole I-Line moulded case circuit breaker of Schneider Square D PowerPacT M series.

It is equipped with ET1.0 electronic trip unit, provides adjustable overload long-delay protection and instantaneous short-circuit protection. Designed for I-Line panelboard plug-in installation. It supports a full range of field-installable accessories such as auxiliary contacts, alarm switches and shunt trips. Widely stocked as spare for commercial and industrial low voltage power distribution systems.

Working principle

Current transformers inside the breaker collect three-phase current signals and send data to the electronic trip unit.

The trip processor compares real-time current with preset thresholds. When overload or short-circuit fault occurs, the unit outputs trip signal to release the mechanical latch, opening the main contacts rapidly to isolate the fault circuit and protect downstream cables and loads.

Onboard components

Current sensing transformers, ET1.0 electronic trip unit, main contact assembly, arc extinguishing chamber, plug-in I-Line connector, operating handle and flame retardant housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power ready, pre-alarm and fault trip status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Internal self-check monitors sensor signals, trip circuit and power supply. Protection parameters can be adjusted on trip unit panel.

Programming software

Not applicable, locally adjustable electronic trip breaker.

Installation

Cut off upstream power supply before replacement.

Insert breaker into I-Line bus bar socket, lock the handle interlock, configure protection setting, test closing, opening and tripping function after commissioning.

Interface

I-Line plug-in main terminals, optional auxiliary contact terminals, shunt release terminals.

Diagnostic

Overload trip: Load current exceeds setting value, poor heat dissipation. Instantaneous trip: Short-circuit fault on load side. Communication or trip fault: Trip unit failure or CT signal abnormal.
