Module Feature

3VL8716-2AA30-0AA0 is a three-pole moulded case circuit breaker of Siemens 3VL series.

It adopts thermal-magnetic trip design. The thermal part provides inverse-time overload protection, and the magnetic coil offers instantaneous short-circuit protection. It supports optional auxiliary contact, alarm contact and shunt release accessories. It is widely used as spare part for industrial power distribution, pump and fan feeder protection cabinets.

Working principle

When overload occurs, the built-in bimetallic strip heats and deforms to trigger the trip mechanism.

When severe short-circuit fault appears, the magnetic component instantly generates electromagnetic force to pull the trip latch open, quickly separating the main contacts to cut off fault current and protect downstream cables and loads.

Onboard components

Bimetallic thermal trip element, magnetic trip coil, main contact assembly, arc extinguishing chamber, mechanical operating handle and flame retardant plastic housing.

LED indicators

No built-in LED indicator; circuit status is identified by the mechanical handle position.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Manual inspection for contact wear, carbon accumulation inside arc chamber and mechanical latching condition. Trip setting is adjusted via front adjustment dial.

Installation
