Module Feature

NW16N13PED05 is a drawout air circuit breaker under Schneider Masterpact NW series.

It has 1600A rated frame current, N class short-circuit breaking rating, 3-pole configuration. It is fitted with Micrologic P protection trip unit, supporting overload, short-circuit and earth fault protection. It comes with motor charging mechanism for remote electrical closing and can be installed in matched withdrawable cradle. It integrates measurement, alarm and communication functions, widely used in factory main distribution rooms, commercial power centres and industrial skids for power protection and control.

Working principle

Built-in current transformers sample three-phase current and send signals to Micrologic P trip unit.

When the monitored current exceeds the preset protection threshold, the trip unit releases the operating mechanism to separate the main contacts and cut off fault current. It records fault parameters locally and transmits data to power monitoring system via communication module.

Onboard components

Main contact assembly, arc extinguishing chamber, spring operating mechanism, CT set, Micrologic P trip unit, motor charging assembly, auxiliary contact block, status indicator, communication interface.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power supply, spring charged status, trip alarm and communication link status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Internal supervision detects trip unit power loss, CT circuit failure, over-temperature and communication interruption. Fault logs and diagnosis information can be viewed through EcoStruxure Power commissioning software.

Installation

Insert the breaker into matched withdrawable chassis. Tighten primary connection terminals, test mechanical interlock, motor charging and protection trip function before energizing.

Diagnostic

Unintended trip: Incorrect protection setting, CT wiring error or transient interference. Cannot close: Spring not charged, loss of control power or interlock locked. Communication dropout: Damaged network cable or inconsistent IP parameter.
