Module Feature

6RA7075-6FV62-0 belongs to Siemens discontinued 6RA70 DC MASTER series high-performance digital thyristor converter.

It adopts B6A+B6C anti-parallel thyristor bridge for four-quadrant operation, can realize forward/reverse rotation and electric feedback braking. It integrates armature control loop and field weakening regulation logic, supports motor auto-tune, rich free function blocks and internal connector technology for flexible logic configuration. It is compatible with optional Profibus communication board, analog setpoint and pulse encoder feedback. Built-in comprehensive protection including overcurrent, field loss, armature overvoltage, thyristor commutation failure and overtemperature. Widely stocked as spare for metallurgical rolling line, paper making, plastic extrusion and material handling DC drive cabinets.

Working principle

Three-phase AC power supplies the thyristor rectifier bridge, the microprocessor adjusts thyristor firing angle to get variable DC voltage for armature.

The microprocessor compares measured current with preset current reference, calculates adjustment quantity and outputs firing pulse to thyristor rectifier bridge. When abnormal operating condition is detected, it triggers protection signal to protect DC motor and converter equipment. Fault codes and operation records are stored onboard for later review.

Onboard components

Thyristor power stack, pulse trigger board, main CPU control board, current/voltage sampling circuit, field rectifier module, cooling fan, watchdog circuit, EEPROM parameter memory and metal rack tray housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power, run, active, alarm and fault status; numeric display shows alarm code.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Unit monitors AC input, armature output, field circuit, fan speed and internal temperature. Regulation parameters and protection thresholds can be downloaded via DriveMonitor.

Programming software

DriveMonitor, used for parameter editing, motor auto-tune, waveform capture and fault log reading.
